On Thursday April 7th, Mr. Kirk's 5th grade class took the train to the end to Ocean Beach for some science lessons and a beach cleanup. The students braved the cold and wind on this beautiful morning, picking up an impressive 55 lbs of trash in only 1/2 an hour! Afterwords, they enthusiastically learned about the geologic make-up of sand, beach erosion, and wave science. Thank you Kirk, Vanessa, and the 5th grade class! Surfrider San Francisco hopes to see you at the beach again!
